The DeSoto Arts and Humanities Council of Arcadia was organized in 2006 to promote the arts in DeSoto County, Florida. Our goal is to make all of the arts — visual, literary and performing — an important part of our community and accessible to everyone, and to promote the creativity of our members.

Arcadia Plein Air Calendar
The new 2016 calendar is here! Featuring full color reproductions of paintings done during the 2014 Arcadia Plein Air Paint-out, it will be on sale at several locations in downtown Arcadia.
During our second Arcadia Plein Air Paint-out held in 2014, more than
20 artists created wonderful images of Arcadia's iconic buildings and
From charming downtown antique stores and the iconic Pink Building to the Peace River and Arcadia's Rodeo, artists captured the essence of this historic town on paper and canvas.
The 2014 paintings were comiled in a beautiful 12-month calendar. The 2016 calendar, featuring paintings from our Second Plein Air Paint-out, is printed on heavy, glossy stock. Each month features a full-page reproduction of one of the original paintings, along with a description of the building or scene.
Major holidays and other dates of interest are noted, and the calendars have a hole for hanging.
The price of calendar is only $5 each (plus S & H if applicable).
